With the making of multiple fire exits in more than one direction the design complies with the distance between each direction being no more than 30m compared to the circled 45m

Alternate escape routes within the distances outlined are provided within all spaces apart from in areas where one fire exit is within 15m. First and second floor exit is provided via single escape ramp and stairs as allowed ‘from a building which has no storey with a floor level more than 11m above ground level’ (4.14) as second floor height is 8m.

• All points in my scheme are within 45m of an exit, which is the longest single escape route possible given the building type/programme  • Stairs are 3000mm wide to accompany up to 500 people - more than will be present in the building at one time.
