
Before my degree I believed architecture was the culmination of not only the arts but of science and communities and well I wasn’t disappointed to learn that it was that and more. I put all my hopes into becoming part of MSAp and it became a reality serving specifically as the catalyst I needed to prod and question my role, the architect’s role and design’s role in society. It stressed the sensitivity to local context, the awareness and analysis of preconceived assumptions and stereotypes.

With a project built on the foundation of youth struggles in Stretford and elderly concerns I began to takes confidently recognising these were ordered and guided on solid ground. Enabling conversations of community engagement nationally and thought provoking ventures in aid of the journey of discovery and design.
