The architecture solidifies the dynamics of this flow - capturing its energetic movement in built form. An outdoor accessible ramp brings students from the street to the heart of the campus without passing through the building, thus allowing 24 hour access.

Kanagawa Institute of Technology Workshop / Junya Ishigami
The studio is about the closest you can get to the feeling of working outside while being indoors. The floor-to-ceiling glass makes the building appear weightless and elegant, and the open plan preserves the building’s sense of transparency as the viewer’s eye can shoot directly across the uninterrupted space. The columns, although seemingly random, as specifically placed to create the sensation of zoned spaces, but their nonrestrictive quality provides a flexible layout to suit the changing needs of students.

NOVA ISKRA Design Incubator by Studio Petokraka
The multi-functional workspace is being established with the idea to support young creatives form the fields of design, architecture, interior design, visual communications and other related fields.

A result of sixty years of student lobbying, the Student Activity Center at the University of Texas at Austin is fundamentally a place built for and by the student body. The SAC challenges the traditional campus paradigm of a building performing a single dedicated function.

For the Masterplan the architects had to find a smart solution for the nearly impossible – to create a stimulating and interactive campus within a bustling environment in the midst of the inner city. Apart from innovative office spaces, the Masterplan required the successful organisation of a multitude of additional functions, such as 5 restaurants, 42 micro kitchens and communication hubs, game rooms, fitness center, pool, wellness areas, conference, learning & development centre, tech stops, over 400 informal and formal meeting rooms and phone booths, etc.

The building is conceived as 3 contemporary, flexible, ‘Victorian’ warehouses each with a distinctive character but bound together by a singular ribbon of elevation and a range of shared social spaces.
